Workout Wednesday-Upper Body Workout

workout-of-the-week - ideas anyone?

I have been in a workout funk the last few months. I’ve been working out but my workouts have just been “okay.” They’ve been blah, not as fun, and not as difficult as I’d like. I stumbled upon this workout when I was looking for new ideas for upper body exercises.

I have to admit, the workout pants in this picture are what first caught my eye. How fun are those pants? Aside from the fun outfit, this workout from Pumps and Iron really works your upper body!

This workout follows the format of 45 seconds of work and 15 seconds of rest with no breaks in between. You’ll do each of the following exercises four times for a total of 20 rounds in 20 minutes. Be sure to do the first exercise (one-arm up-to-down dog pushups) with both your left and your right arm.

Upper Body

I’m not a huge fan of handstand push ups or anything handstand really. They’re just not “my thing.” One alternative would be to hold a traditional push up position instead. You could then bring your right knee to your left elbow, then switch sides and repeat this pattern for the 45 seconds. Always choose what’s best for you and your fitness level.

What are your thoughts on this workout? And most importantly, where can I find fun workout pants like this? Let me know in the comments section below!
