The Tabata Protocol was created by Izumi Tabata. Tabata is a form of HIIT and was developed in the 90s.
The traditional Tabata Protocol requires the following:
- 5 minute warm-up
- 20 seconds all out intensity, 10 seconds rest (8 times total)
- 2 minutes cool-down
This Tabata workout comes from www.vaulterfit.com and is an absolute killer leg workout!
Have you tried Tabata before? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Hi! Just wanting to let you know that you’ve used my picture for your blog without asking my permission! This is technically a violation of inherent copyrights in artistic works such as photographs. Just wanted to let you know and ask you that you not use my picture (or anyone’s picture) without their express permission and especially not without crediting them! This post makes it look like I am personally advocating this workout, so as a trainer and coach, it can be misleading to my clientele and athletes if they think I came up with this. Please replace my picture on your site, preferably with someone whose permission you have! Thanks!
Erin
Hi Erin, as a graphic designer, I know what it’s like to have someone steal your work. It has been done to me plenty of times! I could have swore I found your picture on Flickr.com under the creative commons license. We typically credit anyone’s pictures/work that we use – even when it comes from Flickr, as that is part of the rules. I genuinely apologize for this. We have removed and replaced the featured image on our blog. Thanks!
