I think I’ve shared this infographic before in a different post but it’s worth sharing on its own!  Foam Rolling is not technically a workout, but stretching/foam rolling are both important parts of a complete exercise program.
Why should you foam roll? To sum it up, foam rolling is awesome and can benefit your body in many different ways.
Benefits of Foam Rolling
- Flexibility. Regular foam rolling increases flexibility, which is key to any fitness program.
- De-stress. You may know the de-stressing benefits of yoga and stretching, but foam rolling falls into the same category.
- Injury prevention. Â Overuse injuries, especially in runners, are unfortunately not uncommon. Foam rolling can help prevent exercise-related injuries.
- Muscle tension relief.
- Increased range of motion.
Here are a few foam rolling exercises for you to try!
The only downside to foam rolling is that you need access to a roller. You can usually find these at a gym and they can also be purchased online or at a sporting goods store.
