Spending time in the outdoors is one of the best things about the summertime.
Camping trips mean you can cook over an open fire, explore nature and sleep under the stars. Of course, you may also be swatting away mosquitoes, dealing with sunburn and trying to stay dry inside your tent when it rains. In the end, camping is always an adventure. Whether you’re taking an RV with the family, pitching a tent at your favorite national park or hiking deep into the woods all by yourself – one thing is for sure – memories will be made.
Natural Healthy Concepts has teamed up with NOW Foods to put together a prize package complete with items you can use on your summer camping excursions or any outdoor adventure! All you have to do is tell us about the one thing you would never forget at home before you hit the road.

How to Play:
Entering this sweepstakes is easy! All you have to do is leave a comment and tell us about the one item you absolutely must-have with you on any camping trip. It could be kind of like that luxury item that contestants of the reality show Survivor take with them. It could be a certain vitamin, supplement, a probiotic or drink mix that you rely on to stay in good health. Or maybe it’s something as simple as your pillow…
Here’s a little twist…
Participants who choose an item that’s available at Natural Healthy Concepts – like sunscreen, trail mix, dry shampoo, travel-sized toiletries or energy bars – will have their entries counted twice. That means you will double your chance of winning!
Some Good Places to Start:
- Natural Healthy Concepts Sun and Sport Category
- Travel Size Items at Natural Healthy Concepts
- Energy and Nutrition bars
Just leave a comment below and tell us what your one special item would be – and why you’d never forget it. Pick a product from our website and you’ve got an even better chance to win!
Some Guidelines:
- Only one entry/comment per person. Duplicates will be disqualified.
- Make sure to enter a valid email address so we can contact winners.
- If you pick a product from Natural Healthy Concepts – leave a link to the product page in your comment.
We’ll announce the winners on Tuesday July 15th! Winners will be notified by email and results will be posted on this article.

That’s easy! Argentyn 23 First Aid Gel, 1 Oz, Natural Immunogenics
Fantastic for cleaning up scrapes, cuts, and insect bites. We were camping in the middle of no where last summer and our son fell while climbing on the rocks and cut his hip. So reassuring to use the silver to clean the wound — who knows what icky bugs were in the dirt… I keep a bottle of Argentyn silver gel in my toiletries kit ‘just to be safe’. And I swear this helps cuts heal faster..

Without question its All Terrain Herbal Armor Insect Repellent! Camping fun is all about adapting your cooking/sleeping/play adventures to the weather. But whatever the weather, its the bugs that can really put a damper on an outdoor good time. This formula keeps the critters away, and does not bring on the headaches or sour stomach the way that DEET-based products can – a real plus for both adult and child campers.

Herbal Armor Natural Insect Repellent from All Terrain! I have awful reactions to mosquito bites!
Gotta go with the insect repellent!
Totally depends on the type of camping trip we’re going on but I’d say an Army knife is always helpful. If you’re really going off the beaten track then I’d say water purification tabs. Great comments so far. Good luck everyone!

I always take Benadryl along on my hiking and camping outings. Getting a bee or insect bite reaction far from medical attention might not be a neat deal!!!’

Ever since I was a child, and almost went crazy with but bites, I would NEVER go camping without a bug repellent!!!
Since I was a child, I can’t tell you how much I simply hate bug bites!!! I almost would go crazy with the itching! Therefore, I would NEVER go camping without bug repellent.!
Some antidiarrhea med. your camping trip would be ruined if you eat something that gets you sick.

Cayenne Pepper is the one thing I wouldn’t go camping without having with me. If you get a cut or a wound of any size pour cayenne into it. It will feel like it is burning (with no harm)as it draws the blood to the area for healing. It stops the bleeding right away. This includes a bloody nose. It may help in the case of a heart attack while getting emergency help, with digestion, blood circulation, and a whole host of things. Read about it yourself. It an amazing herb that God has given to us for our use. I don’t leave home without it.
I looked to see if you sell it,and you do, but I don’t know how to put a link to it. If you didn’t I would have suggested that you do.
Hi Peggy, you mean like this? http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/cool-cayenne-40000HU-S90.html – that’s awesome info – thanks!

This year I don’t think I could survive a camping trip without my Buzz Away Extreme spray! The mosquitoes are SOOOO bad and I just couldn’t stand getting bit all weekend long! Plus I love the smell of it and so do my kids!
My canteen/24 oz water bottle…filled with water, of course.
Toilet papre

http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/herbal-armor-insect-spray-AT4.html
Will always bring my aloe vera by Aubrey Organics
If the critters are getting to you this is the one essential I could not do without. A pillow would be nice but if you are too busy itching and scratching to lay your head down it may prove to be superflulous!!
Buzz away insect repellant and my curamin
The one item I need to go camping with is an air mattress, I just can’t sleep on the ground.
I will never leave home without my compass. I got lost once and it wont happen again!
I wouldn’t leave home without my Swiss Army knife…..ever!
My Pure Encapsulations Ultranutrient multi-vitamin.
I never go camping without my snow peak titanium spork!
Tea tree oil is always in my pack.
I would not leave home without my swiss army knife.
I would never go camping or hiking with out my bolo machete I can do and make what ever I need with this 1 item.
Flashlight, water purifier and collapsible cup, multi tool pocket knife, tissues, dry matches in sealed waterproof container….
but those live in my purse so I always have them when leave the house, not just camping.

We carry sunscreen with us every time we go outdoors and we just ordered some True Natural Unscented Face Sunscreen SPF 15 on your website to replenish our supply!
Whenever I go adventuring, I always make sure to bring my camelbak hydration pack. With it I can carry water, a knife, compass, and natural healthy concepts trail mix (a great hiking snack!). It’s light, comfortable, and fits more in it than you would expect!
a ranger tab my PSG gave me when i was in my first tour in Iraq in 2003 when times get tough i just look at dti that really it isnt that bad
i would never leave home with out All Terrain Herbal Armor Insect Repellent, i always get bit up when im out side, no matter where i am. i guess my blood is extra sweet.
The one item I wouldn’t leave with out is Curamin great for reducing inflammation and pain! Find it on the Natural Healthy Concepts website, http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/curamin-60.html
Water first then warmth
PERQUE Repair Guard…not JUST for camping, I never leave home without it. You never know when a minor injury or ache could put a damper on your plans if you don’t have your natural anti-inflammatory (plus natural antihistamine action) handy.
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/repair-guard-180.html
Definitely Herbal Armor!
Herbal Insect Repellant We don’t like being miserable getting bit so, we don’t leave home with out it!
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com
My camera.

JetBoil
My Air Mattress is a must!
KID SPORT All terrain Kids SPF30 sunscreen! My Daughter loves camping and hiking and is about to turn 1!! Sitting in her hiking pack, she isn’t totally protected from the sun rays. Our Camelback bladders which she can drink from as well as us and our headlamps are also never left behind 🙂
I can’t leave my buff behind! I would miss it so.
My swiss army knife I got while I was in the Boy Scouts, I’m in my late 30s now!!!
Sorry misspelled my email.
I can;t lie I;ve never used your products ..But when I go camping I cant go with out my sleeping pad.. Thanks for the chance ,,..
I couldn’t go without my Sunny Body sunscreen from Goddess Garden Organics. Very good organic sunscreen.
Never go camping without rope. One of favorite pastimes while camping is seeing how creatively I can hang the tarp without cutting the rope.
The first item I think of and always pack when I go away is my Now Solutions Xyli White Toothpaste! I love the stuff & no-one wants a stinky breath.. I’ve gotten so many people to convert to it & it honestly brightens up your smile 😀
First item in the backpack would be Herbal Armor Insect repellent. It repels TICKS in addition to mosquitoes. Ticks always spoil the trip, so we take extra bottles!!!
The first item in the backpack would be Herbal Armor Insect Repellent. It keeps away TICKS as well as mosquitoes. Ticks always spoil the trip, so we take extra bottles !!
The most important thing to bring on a camping trip is my family! Someone to share the trip with makes it all mean more!
Tea tree oil is an essential camping item for me. Great for bug bites, stings, cuts, blisters and more…
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/tea-tree-oil.html
My #1 Camping Must Have is Herbal Armor Family Insect Repellent Spray!
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/herbal-armor-family-insect-spray-AT8.html
My number one thing for camping would be my air mattress! Gotta be comfortable!
herbal armor insect repellant 🙂
Dryer sheets to put in pockets or under our hats to keep the bugs away
Water… always take pure water everywhere!
water!
Absolutely cannot be without my bug repellant. Without it I am a biting bug magnet!
i never leave w/o plenty of water, bee lip balm, beer, nature made supplements and a good book to read, and o, yes, sudoku of course with my morning coffee, have to have that
My teapot and tea to brew. Also must have essential oil spray to keep the insects away. Tiger balm if I do get bit and natural sun block with zinc. Also my own creation I call “Linda’s quick fix trail mix” a healthy, low sugar high energy nut, seed and fruit mix.
protein bars
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/fuco-protein-bar-chocolate-GL.html
http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/herbal-armor-family-insect-spray-AT8.html
this will help..we need it especially when we go camping..
I would never leave my teat tree oil behind. It is the best to use to take the sting out of bug bites!
That’s a tough one. I’d say my water filtration straw.
I like to bring my own water filter. Now that I have tried Dynamic Greens, i think I would like ti bring that too.
Protein Fusion Bar – I thrive on high protein bars
The #1 thing is water and of course my Acai Natural Energy Boost packets to go with it. I have been using the Acai powder for 4+ years and can’t think to live with out it. I am healthier, more energetic and truly do not look my age because of all the great ingredients. I am 40 and still get carded! 🙂
Fun perusing the comments! I’ve got to go with coffee, as it is what first popped into my head. Definitely going to try the herbal armor after reading the comments though.
My favorite “things” to take camping is my family & friends! The Herbal Armor repellent is also essential, especially sitting around the campfire at night!
All Terrain Herbal Armor – I actually use the pet version. I still get the occasional bite but I like it the best of all the repellents I’ve tried.
Healthy snacks.
The one thing I couldn’t go camping without is coffee. I love to watch the sunrise with a hot cup of joe. Heaven.
Sorry to say…but it would have to be a roll of toilet paper! :p
