I don’t see how to post my recipe, so here it is in a reply…. Rose Petal-Chia Shortcake
      Ingredients for the shortcake:
      6 organic eggs, separated
      8oz organic cream cheese
      1 cup coconut oil
      ¼ cup honey
      2 cups almond meal flour
      ¼ cup protein powder
      1tsp baking soda
      ½ tsp sea salt
      2 tsp vanilla extract
      1 tsp almond extract
Directions: Turn oven on to 350* Whip the egg whites with a mixer until stiff. Set whipped whites aside in a large glass bowl.
Cream the cream cheese, coconut oil, and the honey in the mixer. Add the egg yolks. Next, add the almond flour, protein powder, baking soda, sea salt, and vanilla. Mix for two minutes until smooth. Pour the cake batter into the stiff whites, and fold the batter together gently. Grease a bundt cake pan with coconut oil, and add the cake batter. Place in the heated oven, and bake for 45 min to 1 hour. Take out when a knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool in the pan, then flip over onto a serving plate carefully.

Ingredients for Rose Petal –Chia topping:
2 cups of unsprayed- with- pesticides, rinsed rose petals
      ¼ cup organic lemon juice
      ¼ cup raw honey
      ¼ cup chia seeds
      1 ½ cup filtered water
Take the clean rose petals and put them in the Vitamix blender with lemon juice, honey, and water. Blend until liquidized. Pour rose liquid into a glass bowl and pour the chia seeds in. Stir to incorporate the chia seeds into the liquid. Let it sit covered at room temperature for 30 min to an hour while you are baking the shortcake.
      Cream topping:
Whip a pint of organic cream in the mixer until stiff. Add ¼ cup honey. Whip a little more to incorporate the honey. Keep cold in the refrigerator until ready to serve the shortcake.
      How to serve:
Take pieces of cake for individual servings in bowls. Add ¼ cup of rose petal-chia topping on top. Put a scoop of whipped cream on top, and then drizzle with a little raw honey. Serve right away.

Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth (After blending, I strain mixture for smooth texture):

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries
    1/2 cup frozen raspberries
    1 small jar pureed carrots
    1-2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
    1 tablespoon raw unfiltered honey
    Makes roughly 16oz.

2 capsules Vitamin Code Women per 8 oz. – capsules broken and contents added to smoothie.
I break the capsules and add the contents right before consuming, shaking container by hand or remixing in blender.

I will make variations depending on what frozen fruit I have. I might also add only one single frozen fruit item, keeping the amount around a cup or a couple handfuls.

Creamy Guilt-Free Black Cherry-Almond Ice Cream

Vegan, Paleo and No added Sugar!
*Makes 1-2 portions depending on how hungry you are!

    2 cups unsweetened almond milk
    1 Cup water
2 Tbsp Organic Black Cherry concentrate
1/3 Cup Garden of Life Chia/Flax seeds
    3 packets of pure stevia
    Organic cherries* (optional)

Add 2 Tbsp Black Cherry Concentrate to 1 cup water–mix.
Add 1/3 cup black chia/flax seeds to cherry-water mix, stir. Let seeds absorb liquid for at least 30 min or more in the fridge. Once the seeds have gelled, blend the mix in a processor/blender (vitamix if you have one) until you get a gelled creamy purée. Add chia purée to the two cups of almond milk. Add 3 packets stevia. Mix well in a glass bowl.
Add mixture to an ice cream maker or if you don’t have one place the mix into a ziplock bag then put that bag into a larger ziplock filled with crushed ice and salt–knead the larger bag until the mixture takes on a frozen texture. (About 5-6 min) The salt and ice method will get super cold so you might want wear gloves at this part! Once you reach the right texture, scoop ice cream into parfait glasses, top with optional cherries and a little cherry concentrate and enjoy!

Please add this description to my recipe:

This is one of the healthiest ways to start your day! Blueberries are great for your vision and brain and are low glycemic too. Combining chia seeds with coconut oil increases the availability of the omega fats in the chia seeds and coconut oil is one of my favorite superfoods, it contains medium chain triglycerides and lauric acid and has antibacterial and antiviral properties. The Green Superfood powder is a yummy way to get in some serious dense nutrition and I love that it’s raw and alkalizing. Adding the Raw Protein gives you the protein you need to sustain you through the morning and it tastes delicious!

Nutty “RAW Protein – Chocolate” Vitamix Truffles (Raw, Gluten-free, Vegan, & Totally Delicious!)

These fabulous truffles go perfectly with a morning cup of coffee and work equally well as a guilt-free dessert or on-the-go snack. The protein and fiber keep me full between meals and give me the nutritional boost I need. Best of all, I can whip these up in my Vitamix and have them ready to serve in just 20 minutes flat! I make them in three RAW Protien Flavors (Chocolate, Vanilla, & Vanilla Chai), so use your favorite variety when making these truffles. Today’s recipe is my favorite flavor, Raw Protein Chocolate!

    ½ cup raw almonds
    ½ cup raw pecans
½ cup hazelnut milk (or other nut milk)
2 tsp Garden of Life Super Omega 3 Chia Seed
    ½ cup pitted dates
¾ cup Garden of Life RAW Protein Chocolate
2 tbsp Garden of Life Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, liquid at room temperature
2 tbsp agave nectar (or more to taste)
    ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Place nuts, nut milk, chia seeds, and dates into the Vitamix. Blend it on high until a cookie-dough like paste forms. Empty the contents from the Vitamix into a bowl and stir in the RAW Protien Chocolate (mix in a little bit at a time), Garden of Life Coconut Oil, and agave nectar until well combined. The mixture should be very thick and doughy. Roll the “dough” into little truffles, about 1 inch in diameter, then roll each ball in the coconut flakes. Place truffles on wax paper lined baking sheet and place in freezer for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy! Makes approximately 30 truffles.

    Vegan Pumpkin Soup

Halve and scoop seeds (reserve and toast for garnish) from a pie pumpkin, then brush with Sage infused olive oil and bake face down at 375f until fork tender. Meanwhile, saute a handful of roughly chopped mushrooms, onions and a garlic clove and combine in a couple cups of warmed low sodium vegetable broth with sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper & a little salt. Combine with pumpkin (scooped from skin) and pour into Vitamix blender while still warm. Drop in a large dollop of solid/cool Garden of Life unrefined coconut oil. Blend until smooth and garnish with roasted pumpkin seeds and a little coconut milk if desired.

    Very delicious!

    1 tbsp Raw Protein

    Sara’s Smoothie Supreme

    2 large bananas
    Half of a pear
    1/2 cup raw cashews
    1/4 cup cherries
    1 cup strawberries
    1/4 cup blueberries
2 cups peaches (mango works great, too)
    1/2 cup coconut water
    1/2 cup almond milk
1 level scoop of Raw Protein Beyond Organic Protein Formula
    1/2 cup sliced zucchini

Microwave zucchini, with a bit of water in a bowl, for 60-80 seconds, or until soft. Drain off water.
Place all ingredients in Vitamix, and blend on slowest speed for 10 seconds. Over the next 10 seconds gradually increase to highest speed. Then blend on highest speed for 30-45 seconds.

    Makes about 45 ounces.

Please note: I prefer to use frozen fruit (which I partially defrost). I put all the frozen fruit in a single bowl, and microwave it for 60-80 seconds. It should still be partially frozen. Instead of using a microwave you can let the fruit defrost it on your counter for about an hour.

By using partially frozen fruit, it makes the smoothie cold. There is no need to add ice, because the partially frozen fruits acts like ice, without watering down the taste of the smoothie.

It keeps for about 24 to 36 hours in the refridgerator. So, I will make this, have some immediately and save some for later.

    Healthy Living:
This recipe reflects healthy living for several reasons. There is no added sugar in this recipe. The sweetness comes from the natural sugars found in the fruits. It is an easy way to hide a vegetable. My 5-year-old loves this recipe, and has no idea that there is zucchini in it. There is a wide variety of fruit in this recipe, of all different colors. Most importantly, this recipe has done wonders for my health. I suffer from Ulcerative Colitis. It would not be advisable for me to eat the nuts and fruits in this recipe, if they were not so well blended. The Vitamix’s ability to pulverize the contents allows me to get all the health benefits of these ingredients without any digestive problems.

So often, people do not have time to do a lot of cooking and tend to grab quick, processed, unhealthy foods. These bites/bars are perfect for an on-the-go type person. Creamy Coconut Curry

2 cups of organic vegetable stock
1 can of light or full-fat coconut milk
1 can of chick peas, drained
    2 tbsp tomato paste
    2 tsp curry powder
.5 tsp garam masala (omit if you do not have)
    .5 tsp red chili flakes
    .5 tsp unrefined salt
    3 tbsp chia seeds
    1 sweet potato, diced
    1 red pepper, diced
3 cups of spinach, torn up

Next, add to the Vitamix the vegetable stock, coconut milk, chickpeas, tomato paste, curry powder, garam masala, pepper, and chili flakes and set it to a medium speed for 5 minutes or until ingredients have formed a creamy paste.

Pour this creamy mixture into a large pot and add the chia seeds, sweet potato, and red pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. During this time you can also prepare your brown rice to go on the side.

Add in the spinach about 10 minutes prior to serving. This will prevent the leaves from becoming overcooked. If you prefer your curry on the thinner side, add a bit more water.

This recipe is super easy to make and has a lot of wonderful health properties because of the coconut milk, curry, and chia seeds. I always use full-fat coconut milk to ensure that I am getting the most MCFA’s and lauric acid. Curry powder is loaded with three powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger. In addition, you are getting a good dose of antioxidants, omega-3, and fiber from the added chia seeds.
If you are feeding a larger family, feel free to double the recipe.

    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 scoop Garden of Life Primal Defense HSO Probiotic Powder
1 tablespoon Garden of Life 100% Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1/2 cup coconut shavings or fresh coconut

This exotic recipe promotes physical, emotional, and mental health. The smoothing scent and flavor of vanilla extract immediately relaxes the senses while the vanilla powder provides an important serving of the day’s protein. The coconut oil and shavings supply just the right amount of good fat to keep the smoothie drinker satiated and craving-free until the next meal. The yogurt adds a calming creaminess while the tropical fruits and drink’s icy coolness allows for a 10-minute escape into imaginings of a tropical paradise.

    Super Green Smoothie

Drinking half for breakfast and half for lunch gives me everything I need to keep me satisfied till dinner. Chia seeds, avocado, and coconut oil provide the right healthy fats. Raw broccoli sprouts/microgreens are not included in the Garden of Life organic Raw Sprout Blend, so I add them as a cancer preventative and to help metabolize estrogen down the proper healthy pathway (for both women and men!!!). The Power Greens provide calcium and I like the fact that Garden of Life Raw Protein contains Vitamin K as MK-7 to direct the calcium to all the right places, i.e., our bones and teeth. I love the fact that Garden of Life Raw Protein contains glucomannan to feed existing gut bacteria and Raw Probiotics to add to our gut biome. No gluten and no soy for low-thyroid people!

1/2 – 1 tsp Garden of Life Chia Seeds
1/2 c. cold filtered water or cold coconut water
1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
    1/3 c. frozen mango chunks
    1/2 of a ripe avocado
1 T. Garden of Life Coconut Oil
1/3 c. raw broccoli sprouts or broccoli microgreens
1 scoop (22 g) Garden of Life Raw Protein (not chocolate)
Earthbound Farm Organic Deep Green Blends Power Greens–71 g (about 1/2 of the 5 oz container)

Add cold water/coconut water and chia seeds to blender container and let sit for 5 minutes. To this add frozen mango and frozen banana and blend to a slurry. Add coconut oil, avocado, Garden of Life raw protein powder, and broccoli sprouts and blend thoroughly. Lastly, add Power Greens and blend about 40-60 seconds until thick and smooth. Pour into a glass and eat with a spoon or a straw if not too thick.

These instructions are my procedure using a standard Hamilton Beach blender, because I don’t own a Vitamix, but I know that results using the Vitamix would be much faster and smoother!!!

    Raw Meal Fruit Smoothie

    10 ounces Organic Orange Juice
1 Scoop Garden of Life Raw Meal Vanilla or Plain (Vanilla gives an almost cake like flavor)
    5 ounces Frozen Organic Peaches
    3 ounces Frozen Organic Cherries
    2 ounces Frozen Organic Blueberries
2 tablespoons Coconut oil (I don’t melt mine)
1 Pasture Raised Farm Egg (otherwise, you’ll want to give the egg a 2 minute boiling bath)

Mix all in the blender and blend on high for 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
For additional protein add 2 Tablespoons of Hydrolyzed Gelatin (Collagen) powder.

The fruit eliminates the need for any additional sweetners.
I use frozen fruit to eliminate the need for ice that will water down the smoothie.
