Why Managing Holiday Stress is Important to Your Health

Anyone who has ever been stressed out knows it isn’t just mental and emotional – it’s physical too! That stress can take a toll on your body and your health.

Physical signs of too much stress in your life could be ongoing headaches, indigestion, sleep difficulties and more. It’s easy to see why stress is a major underlying cause of so many health issues. If you’re not careful, being stressed can lead to overeating, excessive alcohol consumption, a weakened immune system and even depression.

That’s why many of us get what’s called the “Holiday Blues.” Pressures of the season pile up. Our expectations are high, and when they aren’t met, we feel let down (or like we let others down).

You need to RELAX…

But that’s easier said than done, right?

A good place to start looking for help is the Stress Less Collection from Aromafloria. These products are designed to make you feel calm and restore a sense of well-being. Aromafloria has generously provided us with a bunch of stuff from their collection to give away to Natural Healthy Concepts’ readers and customers!

What You Can Win

You may feel like you’d be pampering and spoiling yourself with many of the prizes in this package. But the truth is – you’ll actually be doing a lot of good for your mind and body.

Aromafloria offers a wide-range of aromatherapy products that are made with beneficial ingredients like organic essential oils, soothing botanicals as well as health-promoting vitamins & minerals. Here’s a closer look at what you can win…

1. The Stress Less Rescue Kit (Plus-Sized)

This set of products will not only help you relax, it could help you feel more beautiful too.

The Stress Less Rescue Kit comes with bath salts, bubble bath, massage oil and body polish. But there’s one big difference between the normal kit and what you could actually win.

Instead of the smaller, travel-sized products that come in the kit, we’re giving away the full-sized versions. So that means instead of 1-ounce bottles of massage oil and bubble bath – you get 9oz bottles. Instead of just 1 ounce of the body polish, you get 12 ounces. Instead of only 2 ounces of bath salts, you get a big 23oz container.

You get the point. It’s all the products you can get in the kit – just a whole lot more of them. This way your new stress relief products will last into the New Year.

Scents from essential oils in these products are what really make them unique. The calming aromas of lavender, chamomile and sage could put your mind at ease so your body can relax and you feel rejuvenated.

2. Stress Less Inhalation Beads

stress less inhalation beadsThere will also be days when you don’t have time for a bath or a massage – especially during the holidays. That’s why this prize could be a real lifesaver.

Stress Less Inhalation Beads from Aromafloria let you take a whiff of those calming scents whenever your nerves start to get the best of you.

It’s the perfect way to get some quick stress relief. All you need to do is step away for a moment and inhale the beneficial aromas of the essential oils coming from the beads.

This is aromatherapy you can take on the go too. Just put some of the beads in the pouch that comes with the product and inhale when you need to calm down. I’m just imagining how they could come in very handy in crowded shopping mall parking lots and during family get-togethers that test your patience.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Relax…

3. Stress Less Lavender Soy Candle

lavender-mason-jar-candleFinally, here’s the perfect way to fill your entire home with the relaxing aroma of lavender.

Aromafloria’s candles are made of soy, so they burn longer and cleaner than typical candles. You won’t get that sooty residue. Plus, these candles are also environmentally-friendly.

It’s not just therapeutic either. Good Earth Lavender Candle is also an attractive piece of decor! This particular candle has a bold purple color to match the lavender scent, and it comes in a durable, rustic Mason jar.

Keep this candle burning when you need to bring peace to your household this holiday season.

Total Retail Value of this Prize Package: $81

But that’s not all you can win. You also get to choose a product you think would be the perfect pick to personalize and complete the prize package.

Can’t forget our feet!!!!!!!! Nothing is right when our feet hurt- can’t relax or handle stress!

  12. Linda Gonzales November 24, 2014 at 12:33 pm #

  13. Amy November 24, 2014 at 12:33 pm #

This looks great and a salt lamp would pair nicely with this set!

  14. Linda Gonzales November 24, 2014 at 12:35 pm #

Also, I would add this product: Sandalwood Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion Pump… Nothing relaxes me like the scent of Sandalwood…it then re-energizes me…I think it’s a sexy scent, too.

  15. Elizabeth November 24, 2014 at 12:41 pm #

No one can ever have enough massage oil for sore muscles and relaxing!

  17. Catherine S. November 24, 2014 at 12:53 pm #

I would add this diffuser/nebulizer to the package as it helps with your atmosphere, day and/or night, and especially in these long winter months in WI…adding moisture to the air and your skin…as well as your choice of essential oil or blend (could be lavender to relax at night and complement the full package, or a health/immunity blend to ward off these winter germs that tend to lurk and invade). Great investment overall!

  18. Elena November 24, 2014 at 12:54 pm #

Having a warm cup of stress relief tea is a good way to decompress.

  19. Jeanne Kanyuh November 24, 2014 at 1:00 pm #

I would add Massage Oil Aroma Remedy – Tea Tree, 9 Oz, Aromafloria,

I LOVE Tea Tree Oil…I add it to almond oil and massage it on my scalp at night and wash out in the morning – you will never have an itchy scalp again…and it is great for your hair. That’s a stress reliever right there! But I also rub it on my skin at night before bed (can’t say my husband loves the smell, but I do 🙂 and it calms any itching and helps with dry, rough skin you may have. This product is already mixed with oils so it is ready to go…can’t wait to try it!

  20. Kaylene Smith November 24, 2014 at 1:02 pm #

I use Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon flavor to keep my muscles relaxed. You can feel it immediately working to relieve stress and anxiety and helps me sleep better. Here is the link:

Anything that works immediately – right?! Thanks, Kaylene!

  21. Deborah November 24, 2014 at 1:05 pm #

I’m a big Premier Research Labs fan. This product is my favorite anti-stress supplement! It “contains the whole B-Complex family”

  22. Ron Woodruff November 24, 2014 at 1:24 pm #

I would add the Eucalyptus massage oil:

  23. Tara Peschel November 24, 2014 at 1:40 pm #

I think a deep muscle soak would be a great addition. I have learned much about relaxation and taking good care of myself after having my stroke a couple of years ago. Relaxation, peace and calm is so important!

    • Ashley Steinbrinck November 24, 2014 at 1:47 pm #

You are right, Tara. So glad you are focusing on taking good care! Thank you ; )

  24. Jexelli Love November 24, 2014 at 1:43 pm #

For the perfect stress relief prize package, I would add the Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon Magnesium Anti-Stress Drink Mix available here:

Many people don’t realize that stress can come on because of nutritional deficiencies. 85% of Americans are deficient in magnesium, which is vital for stress relief & nerve health. I always recommend this particular brand of magnesium, as it’s non-GMO and continually wins ‘best supplement’ awards. ?

  25. Lynn N. November 24, 2014 at 1:45 pm #

I would suggest adding the Reflexology Socks by Earth Therapeutics. After bathing, relaxing with the aromatherapy goodies, putting these special socks on to have good things happen to our feet while we get a good night’s sleep is a great thing!

  26. Vanessa November 24, 2014 at 2:08 pm #

I love all the suggestions so far. I would add Mountain Rose Herbs Peace Blend Tea for it’s calming, relaxing and restorative properties. Since I was little tea has always played a huge role in our daily routine. Not only is the tea itself relaxing but so is the act of preparing and sitting and sipping. Anytime you can carve out a few moments to just be is ideal in my mind. It can be made even better by the company you choose to drink it with 🙂

    • Ashley Steinbrinck November 24, 2014 at 2:13 pm #

Fantastic, and a good choice too! Thanks, Vanessa!

  27. Julie Brink November 24, 2014 at 2:14 pm #

I’d really like to try these…at various times, I’ve had any of the issues this Bach Flower Remedy is reputed to resolve (see description). As much as I enjoy remedies that require sitting, as a mom of five (one away at college, four at home), I don’t sit much these days…at least not without something important to read/type/research. Something portable would be great!

    • Ashley Steinbrinck November 24, 2014 at 2:18 pm #

Thank you, Julie! And they double as candy and stress support – how perfect! ; )

  28. Lacy Webb November 24, 2014 at 2:15 pm #

  29. Jan Nethery November 24, 2014 at 2:20 pm #

Along with the holiday “busy-ness” often comes sore, tired muscles. I think this product would be a great addition to the stress buster package:

  30. Marcia Butcher November 24, 2014 at 2:23 pm #

  34. Julia Fosdick November 24, 2014 at 2:35 pm #

When I can’t sleep because my mind won’t stop, this stuff works! Rub it into the backs of your knees before bedtime.

  35. sherry November 24, 2014 at 3:33 pm #

I would add an immune boosting supplement as stress often lowers your immune system, causing illness, thus added stress.

The Black elderberry is not just for kids, I started taking it a month ago, I mix a teaspoon in a glass of water an hour before bed, not only does it help me sleep better, which I really needed, it also helps my immune system, and what better time then when I am asleep, when the body works best at healing.

At a sweat lodge, this is the berry the elders use between sweats for health and stamina

“Kids Black Elderberry Syrup, 90 Ml, Gaia Herbs”

  36. Lindsey Manion November 24, 2014 at 4:25 pm #

Thanks for this offer! I am interested in trying this out to help with sleep and stress! Thanks 🙂

  37. deb November 24, 2014 at 4:25 pm #

The massage oil muscle soak sounds like a wonderful way to relieve stress!

  38. Michelle November 24, 2014 at 4:27 pm #

The only thing missing here is lotion! I would add the Aromafloria Stress Less Calming Hand and Body Lotion to moisturize after a decadent soak in a bath filled with bubbling water.

    • Ashley Steinbrinck November 24, 2014 at 4:28 pm #

haha! We thought someone might think of that!

  39. Becky November 24, 2014 at 4:45 pm #

I would add the inhalation beads. Until I can get back home to use the pack, this will keep me calm and serene….I use the beads for clearing my sinuses and they are so much better than taking meds!

  40. Maureen Fountain November 24, 2014 at 5:58 pm #

/adrenal-support-plus-60.html I want to keep my adrenals healthy!

  41. Jody November 24, 2014 at 6:06 pm #

Studies suggest vitamin C can curb levels of stress hormones while strengthening the immune system. In one study of people with high blood pressure, blood pressure and levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) returned to normal more quickly when people took vitamin C before a stressful task.

  42. Donna Landers November 24, 2014 at 6:35 pm #

While relieveing the Holiday stress is important it is also a good time to relax and destress your feet. So I choose For feets sake double action foot scrub. achy Holiday shopping feet need attention too!!

  43. Phyllis Heffner November 24, 2014 at 7:32 pm #

I would choose Adrenastim from ApexEnergetics because I have adrenal fatigue and this could give me enough energy to enjoy the holidays and benefit from the relaxation the other products would bring.

  44. Julie November 24, 2014 at 7:33 pm #

Feets Sake Foot Scrub looks like something good to try

  45. Ellen November 24, 2014 at 7:34 pm #

Aromafloria’s Stress Less Moisturizing Body Wash would be my pick because I cannot take a bath. A shower invigorates and relaxes me. And because I can’t breathe around non-organic, heavily scented products or perfumes, gentle scents like lavendar and chamomile, etc. are perfect for me.

  46. Jessica November 24, 2014 at 7:37 pm #

After looking at all their great products, I would have to choose Aromafloria’s Body Purifying Treatment
I love that it detoxifies, as well as relieves stress. In addition, it can be used as a shower gel and in the bath ! This would be great after a long day on the floor as a nurse! : )

  47. Kellie November 24, 2014 at 7:42 pm #

Lavender essential oil has many beneficial uses. One of my favorites is to buy a fabric softener that is “Free and Clear” of any perfumes, scents, or colors. I then add about 50 drops of the Lavender Essential Oil to the entire bottle of fabric softener then shake. The most natural pleasant fragrant lavender aroma for all your sheets and towels!

  48. Danielle November 24, 2014 at 9:09 pm #

Thank you so much for offering this giveaway! 🙂 I would love to win apex energetics “adrenacalm” cream 🙂 I love that it’s a cream so I don’t have to swallow yet another pill. It’s such a great cream with lots of great adaptogens to calm the nerves 🙂

  49. Rachael November 24, 2014 at 9:12 pm #

Gotta love the stress relief from a hot cup of tea…especially Masala Chai! Check it out here:

  50. Leigh Richman November 25, 2014 at 1:21 am #

I would add the meditations for healing (wish it came with a cd, too). here’s the link:
That kit is the bomb for taking care of our body / stress but we can’t forget about our mind/soul and spirit. I absolutely love reading and / or listening to positive meditations and mantras in the am / pm for stress / relaxation / love and healing and I think it’s especially helpful during the holiday season to help keep you centered and focused on yourself as well (we women always tend to help and care for everyone else) namaste 🙂

  51. Sue November 25, 2014 at 4:15 am #

I’d add Rescue Remedy, a homeopathic cream, that’s good for calming down, easy sleep, headaches, bruises. You name it. Just rub some on your temples, or at the site of the pain. They also make a spray for to take internally, but I like the cream.

  52. Val November 25, 2014 at 4:51 am #

Oh this would be wonderful and some calm PRT would help as well! Who doesn’t need less stress in today’s world? Thank you so much for the opportunity.

  53. Terri David November 25, 2014 at 6:46 am #
I’m going through a very stressful time with moving and contractors. I need some help.

  54. Angela November 25, 2014 at 7:55 am #

I would add Thorne Research’s Stress Relief Therapy. I had something similar years ago that I carried in my purse. I’d even put a little of it on my kids when they were stressing about school. It’s great for on the go stress.

  55. Greg November 25, 2014 at 11:38 am #

I have used lavender flowers in a tea to help reduce my stress of moving from WNY to S Carolina and having the stress of paying bills and looking for new employment in a new area. Very Stressful

  56. Kristi November 25, 2014 at 11:53 am #

I love the look of your Wooden Oil Diffuser. A candle could be used in the bedroom and the diffuser in larger areas such as the livingroom, adding stress relief aroma for the whole family. A stress free family makes for a stress free Mama!

  57. S Kay DeGroot November 25, 2014 at 3:46 pm #

I would add the For Feets Sake foot soak. Nothing beats great feeling feet for relaxing!

  58. Tracy November 25, 2014 at 3:51 pm #

My choice for the basket is called Innate-Calm Response. I chose this because the combination of ingredients really works for me. It calms me with out putting me to sleep so I can take it at work during the day. I also find I sleep more soundly. The link is as follows:

    Thank you!

  59. Margo November 25, 2014 at 5:09 pm #

90 Tablets, Megafood. I take multivitamin and this would also help eliminate some stress and supplement my vitamin intake.

  62. Kathy November 25, 2014 at 7:12 pm #

I chose Adaptocrine by Apex Energetics because I have used many of Apex’s products and have been pleased with them all. Adaptocrine sounds like it would really help me with how my body manages the effects of stress on my body’s systems, which is one thing I seem to have a hard time controlling.

  63. Wendi Evans November 25, 2014 at 8:09 pm #

I would love to have my husband rub my feet with For Feets Sake Intense Repair Spa Foot Butter. I can’t think of anything more relaxing and stress-reducing!

Add Pycnogenol to counter act the effects of past stress and any stress that sneaks in.

  65. Julia November 25, 2014 at 10:59 pm #

    I would add:

Their products are one of the few to have actually helped me with stress, but I’ve never tried this flavor. 🙂

  66. Cheryl November 25, 2014 at 11:04 pm #

I would use Dynamic Greens to make a smoothie to sip on while I am relaxing.

  67. John November 25, 2014 at 11:27 pm #

Maybe you can add your Lavender Beeswax moisturizing lotion. This stuff sounds great with the relaxing essential oils and other natural ingredients.

  68. Anne Bodee-Galivan November 26, 2014 at 1:23 am #

I would add the AromaRemedy Salt Glow Body Scrub. I love a body scrub and haven’t had one in a long time. I love the exfoliating feeling of a scrub, and this one sounds awesome.

  69. Anne Bodee-Galivan November 26, 2014 at 1:28 am #

Ah! I didn’t see the part about needing a link until I saw the other comments and re-read the rules. Here is the link to the AromaRemedy salt scrub that sounds just wonderful:

  70. Nancy November 26, 2014 at 7:07 am #

I was just diagnosed with cancer. I’m thinking the Body Purifying Treatment might help in dealing with the toll that chemo is going to take on my body. I also am very interested in the Holiday Stress Relief package for the same reason. Thank you.

  71. Sheri November 26, 2014 at 7:32 am #

Stress, colder/dryer weather, eating extra holiday sweets, etc. can take a toll on your complexion – leaving it dry, dull and depleted. Following in the theme of holiday pumpkin pie, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin cheesecake, etc, I would add the Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask. Who couldn’t use a little complexion revitalizing in the winter months…especially with the added holiday stress and feasting!!!

    The link is:

  72. Dawn November 26, 2014 at 9:13 am #

I would add easy-to-absorb Natural Calm. Magnesium is such an crucial nutrient, and necessary for hundreds of functions in the body. A well-functioning body can handle stress more easily. Relaxes muscles, eases sleep, smooths wrinkles… what more could you ask for?

  73. Claudia November 26, 2014 at 9:33 am #

With winter upon us, what could be more relaxing and stress reducing than you own facial. I would add The Facial Gift Set. Sounds like heaven to me with the dry, colder air all around us! What a great idea to do a Holiday Stress Relief package!

  74. Laurie November 26, 2014 at 9:59 am #

This time of year- Aloe Vera Infused Gloves to Moisturize Your Hands.

  75. Tanya Donahue November 26, 2014 at 10:41 am #

Id add Dr. Wilsons Super Adrenal Stress Formula. It is a great supplement that helps me deal with the day to day stresses I encounter. This along with the stress reducing bath products anyone can be ready to meet the day!!!

  76. Shelley November 26, 2014 at 2:15 pm #

I’d add Gaia Adrenal Health ( to the package because it does such a great job of taking the edge off during stressful times! The rhodiola in it helps restore proper function to worn-out adrenals!

  77. Melissa November 26, 2014 at 2:16 pm #

Between stresses at the office, running errands, Christmas shopping, and traveling, I love the idea of something that will accompany me on-the-go; therefore, I would add:

I would add an essential oil. I have read so much about how essential oils can be used in many ways and I think this one is especially useful for relaxation and sleep! Thanks for the chance to win! With 4 teenage boys and Christmas shopping upon me this sounds so very wonderful! Oh, here is the link to the oil:

My doctor put me on Dr. Wilson’s Super Adrenal Stress Formula to help me recover from fatigued adrenal glands. I would recommend this product, along with a regular walking routine. Get at least 30 minutes of sunlight each day.

Completely different angle here, but this important b vitamin helps me feel relaxed. The b vitamin helps relieve anxiety and improve mental state. inositol or b8. My dad told me about it and his Dr. recommended he take it. It helps me also.

Thanks Jason – Yes, most of the B Vitamins are important for managing stress, especially since they are depleted faster when the body is experiencing stress!

Hello! Thank you for this opportunity. I would add Perque makes an excellent product and I believe it’s important to address the internal as well as the external to address the levels of stress we deal with. A good Vitamin B complex is another choice: Thank you!

  94. Doree Anglemyer November 30, 2014 at 12:03 pm #

OOOoohhh………so many to choose from!!! I would either choose the Adrenal Complex by designs for health or the a-Drenal by RLC Labs (or even any of the Dr. Wilson’s products, anything that has a great rating) to help with my fatigue and thyroid imbalances that I’ve been dealing with right now. I’ve actually been so overwhelmed trying to decide what steps to take to address these issues I’m facing, it’s amazing how even trying to decide on how to get help can cause such overwhelm and stress when the adrenals get ‘cooked’!!! Thanks so much!!!
