UPDATE: With the help of our current and new followers, we raised over $250 during the week of November 1st to help those that have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
If you don’t already know, we pledged to donate $1 to Feeding America for every new Pinterest and Twitter follower to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. We decided to double that total and donated $500!
Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger-relief charity, has made a strong effort to provide food, water, supplies and support to help those affected by the hurricane.
So far, they have distributed more than 150 truckloads of food and produce (or 4.9 million meals) to local food-banks around affected areas.
