Help give veterans the support they need, and shelter dogs the chance they deserve, with Nordic Naturals and the nonprofit organization Paws and Stripes.
Through December 31, the purchase of Nordic Naturals qualifying products will help to support Paws and Stripes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our veterans and saving dogs’ lives. Through this New Mexico based organization, military veterans struggling with PTSD and other conditions are paired with shelter dogs, which they train at Paws and Stripes.
This wonderful organization accomplishes two amazing things. Firstly, it gives veterans the support and companionship of a trained service dog. Secondly, it gives a loving home to dogs who may otherwise be euthanized.
In support of this organization’s inspiring work, the purchase of featured Nordic Naturals products will go toward a $30,000 donation to Paws and Stripes, plus a year’s supply of omega-3 for the veterans and dogs in the program.
As of 2014, Paws and Stripes has provided assistance to 97 veterans and their families, and rescued over 70 shelter dogs. Graduates of the Paws and Stripes program report improvement in their quality of life. Seventy-one percent say they now experience better quality sleep, 87 percent spend more time with friends and family, and 85 percent say they feel more comfortable at social events or public places.
