Want to keep your job? Get a vaccine harassment!

The subject of mandatory vaccination for healthcare workers has been hotly debated for several years. In 2009, there was a huge push-back from healthcare workers out east who were being forced to take the H1N1 vaccine or risk losing their jobs. The push-back was successful and healthcare employees were not forced to have a potentially dangerous vaccine for a so-called “pandemic” that ended up a big bust. Now, hospitals and healthcare clinics are pressuring employees to have flu shots or risk losing their jobs. This time it’s happening right here in our back yard.

An area hospital is telling its employees if they don’t receive the flu vaccine by Dec. 31, 2011 “they will be considered to have voluntarily ended their employment….” I guess that means they can’t file for unemployment if they don’t comply! Here’s the “flu shot or else” clip. The employees can get a religious exemption (not always easy) or a medical exemption (even harder!) but they must still go before a review committee.

The hospital spokesman said 49,000 people die every year from the flu. That’s just plain wrong! The usual figure quoted for annual flu deaths is 36,000, but it is a gross misrepresentation.  The actual annual number of true deaths from the flu is fewer than 2,000.  The government lumps flu and pneumonia deaths together, but flu deaths are only a small fraction of the total. Besides, there is plenty of evidence that flu shots don’t work, especially for the elderly and children under two.

In addition to this travesty of personal liberty, Big Pharma is flexing its muscle in California where a simple stroke of the pen by governor Jerry Brown will allow children as young as 12 years old to receive the HPV vaccine (and any FUTURE sexually transmitted disease vaccine) secretly WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT.  Did you catch that? I’ll repeat. If you live in California and the law passes, your child can receive a prescription medication (vaccine) without your permission.  In most states, a minor child can’t get a tatoo or an ear piercing without their parent’s consent.

And more alarming is if your child suffers any adverse reactions, becomes permanently disabled, or dies (at least 89 girls and one boy have already died from the HPV vaccine) from the vaccine, neither the doctors nor the pharmaceutical company will be held liable. You will have to care for your injured child the rest of your life with no compensation. I’m sure you caught that loud and clear!

Our health freedoms are being compromised, threatened and taking a hit! If your job is on the line because you don’t want to receive a vaccine, or if you think your rights as a parent are being threatened, you speak up loud and clear too! Talk to your elected officials, spread the word. Even if you don’t live in California, you can still contact Governor Brown and tell him to veto AB499. What happens in California often impacts the rest of the country. Remember our previous two-part blog on vaccines where we suggested you follow the money trail?  The Star Tribune, “Media should take a Closer Look at HPV Vaccine, reminds us again that perhaps “public health” isn’t really the motive here.

With global vaccine revenues expected to grow from $30 billion in 2010 to $52 billion in 2016 and almost no product protections available for vaccine consumers, media scrutiny of vaccines and public health administration is urgently needed more than ever.
