Tara Lord, MS, RD, CD
Tara Lord, MS, RD, CD, is a registered dietitian providing customer service and nutrition expertise and offering individual nutrition counseling at the Appleton, WI, store location.
Tara fell in love with nutrition in high school physiology class when she realized that the foods and beverages people choose to consume significantly impact their health and quality of life. She wanted to help others by guiding them toward the lifestyle choices that will help them feel and function their best.
Tara has a Master of Science degree in clinical nutrition from Boston University. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in human nutrition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She completed her dietetic internship at California State University Long Beach.
Tara enjoyed a 10-year career as a clinical dietitian in hospitals in Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago. During this time, she grew and applied her knowledge on the impact of nutrition therapy on many common and rare disease and injury states. As she began to grow her family, her focus shifted to natural health remedies, and she now finds joy in learning and applying integrative and functional nutrition therapy.
A few fun facts about Tara are that she has a published research paper on dietary boron, she assisted in teaching a nutrition course to Harvard medical students, and she rode in IHSA nationals while on the UMass equestrian team. Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with family and friends, balancing several forms of gentle exercise, volunteering at school and church, and keeping busy with her 3 children, dog, and rabbit.
