Iâm a sap for stories of everyday people making it big. You know, when someone comes up with an idea (often out of necessity!) that begins at their kitchen table and goes on to become a household name. Thatâs the American dream, and thatâs how Aubrey Organics came to be.
Aubrey’s founder – a man of many talents.
Aubrey Hampton, was a phytochemist and an herbalist. When he needed something to soothe dry cracked skin from the winter chills of New York City; a simple formula of ginger, peppermint and eucalyptus leaf mixed with coconut oil, would become the very first Aubrey product, Relax-R-Bath.
Aubrey Nature Labs began in 1967 with only two products. Today, with over 200 products, Aubrey® is a multimillion dollar company sold in almost every natural products store in the US and Canada. Theyâre even sold in Asia, South America and Europe.
I was impressed to see all the things he pioneered, like using coconut fatty acids in their hair and skin care products, or formulating cosmetics with jojoba oil, evening primrose and Matcha green tea. He was also an activist for animal rights and insisted on a cruelty-free company, which it still is today. Aubrey was also an accomplished author and playwright.
The name Aubrey Organics is synonymous with natural and organic and it’s popularity continues to climb as more people understand the importance of using safe and healthy products. You’ll find Aubrey in almost 100 popular publications. Check them out here.
I know the term ânaturalâ has been abused over the years and doesnât mean what it should anymore, but when youâre talking about Aubrey, itâs the real deal.
After all, Aubrey has been around for over 40 years and was the âfirst personal care manufacturer to be certified as an organic processor by Quality Assurance International of San Diego, California.â
This means you get a genuinely natural and quality product. Their production facility is inspected regularly and the products and organic materials are certified according to the standards established by the USDAâs National Organic Program.
Aubreyâs mission.
ââ¦To provide all-natural, safe and effective personal care and lifestyle products to the consumer. We offer a true and authentic alternative to many of the mass produced synthetic products on the market today. We craft only the highest quality all-natural products without compromise as to ingredients, packaging or cost.â
If I had a dollar for every item Iâve seen on a store shelf labeled ânaturalâ I could retire. Donât be fooled. When you search for safe and truly natural products, itâs important to know the company that makes them.
Aubrey is committed to transparency and gives you the quality you deserve.
Your skin is your largest organ.
When you think about how much goes on (and then IN) your body, itâs rather shocking. If youâre putting toxic products on your hair, not only is that going into your scalp and your blood stream. Youâre also rubbing that onto your pillow every night and thatâs getting absorbed into your face!
If youâre buying products with words you canât identify or pronounce, youâre probably adding a toxic burden to your body. Remember, studies show babies are now born with over 200 toxic chemicals in their blood streams. Think about that – we start life with a toxic load!
Don’t you want to reduce the toxins in your body?
Choosing the right skin and hair care products will help!
So what are some of our most popular Aubrey products?
Natural Sun SPF 30+ Green Tea Sunscreen is a big hit every summer. Our customers who head south in the winter love it, too!
Since Aubrey carries products for the whole family, their Natural Baby & Kids Shampoo, is a must for all our naturally minded mamas!
Their shampoos and conditioners for âgrown-upsâ are really great, too! And they’ve just updated some of them to give them a new look and more ingredients you’ll love.
For that favorite man in your life – Aubrey carries some great products for men, like Menâs Stock Natural Dry Pine Deodorant:
Want to keep your hair looking its best? NuStyle Organic Hairspray (Regular Hold) is popular with our staff and customers.
Personally, I like to see companies walk the talk. If they make a good product but don’t treat their employees right or practice good ecological manufacturing – they lose my purchase. Aubrey gets this and they’re committed to their employees, their community and the world.
So if you’re looking to make a change in your personal care products – I think you just found what you’re looking for!
