Colloidal Silver – Nature’s Antibiotic

Colloidal Silver Really is Nature's Antibiotic!

If you knew you were going to be stranded somewhere and could take only a few natural supplements with you, what would they be? Would colloidal silver be one of them?

Colloidal silver has been used for hundreds of years as a natural antibiotic. It fell out of favor with the advent of prescription antibiotics. But in recent years, as antibiotic resistance to potentially lethal bacteria like MRSA and SARS has escalated, the use of colloidal silver is making a come back and gaining respect. You may have heard some conflicting things about it, so I hope to put some of those fears to rest.

If you’re new to the amazing therapeutic properties of colloidal silver, you’ll want to read this comprehensive article from Dr. Mercola on colloidal silver and the pros and cons of the different silver products you’ll find on the market. His article links to an excellent website SilverSafety.org which contains a wealth of information and appropriate “guidelines for the safe use of silver supplements.”

The three most common forms of silver are:

  1. Ionic silver
  2. Silver proteins
  3. True colloidal silver

Silver proteins have been shown to be ineffective and have posed some health hazards. Ionic silver may have some health benefits, but it’s best to stick with the safer, true colloidal silver that has scientific support. I’ve listed a number of resources below that validate the safety and efficacy of colloidal silver.

For now, we’ll focus on the health benefits of true colloidal silver, like the number-one-selling Sovereign Silver, which contains only two ingredients: 96% positively charged pure silver particles (which happens to make it at least 34 times more powerful than other brands!) and pharmaceutical-grade purified water. You want to avoid products that contains other ingredients.

So what can colloidal silver do? Here are a just a few of its incredible health benefits:

  • Proven effective against antibiotic resistant microbes like SARS and MRSA
  • Helps eliminate the streptoccocus and staphloccocus bacteria
  • It can be used for ear infections
  • Use it topically for yeast infections, oral thrush and jock itch
  • It has anti-tumor properties against MCF-7 human breast cancer cells
  • You can spray it on wounds and infections for faster healing and to minimize scarring
  • Use it regularly to support your immune system
  • It has a very long shelf life

Clearly colloidal silver is liquid gold! It would be one of my first supplement choices for emergency preparedness. Like all things natural and pharmaceutical, it should be used responsibly. I like what Jeffery Blumer, MD, PhD, former director of the Center for Drug Research, said about the use of silver supplements:

Anything in excess has consequences. Common substances like table salt and aspirin are harmless with normal use, but excessive intake can become toxic and even life-threatening. With normal responsible usage, silver supplements are entirely harmless to humans.

You might be surprised to learn that the founder of Searle Pharmaceuticals, Alfred B. Searle, was a big proponent of the use of silver. He wrote a book Uses of Colloids in Health and Disease. However, since it’s not possible to patent a natural substance, colloidal silver went the way of most other natural remedies.

Isn’t it time you added colloidal silver to your medicine cabinet? In addition to our best-selling Sovereign Silver, you can check out our other great silver supplements and be on your way to better health….naturally!

    Hello!

I have been taking colloidal silver for some 5 years now. What led me to the road of natural medicine is I too had love ones die of cancer. My daughter Jada who was 5 at the time died of a Astrosytoma (I think that’s how you spell it) in her brain stem area, that was about 6 years ago.
Then last year my 24 year old died from cancer that spread to his vital organs.
So I began my quest for a better alternative than popping pills for everything that is common but vital to ward off.
I started reading about colloidal silver and I new that I had found the silver bullet.
I began to eat right exercise and of coarse take the silver. I lost 30 pounds and haven’t been sick in years. The only thing wrong with me to date is that I can’t spell for nothing! :)
I began to give colloidal silver to my friends and family to see nothing but good results.
I know how well colloidal silver works so I just started a suppliment bussiness, a friend and I are gonna help as many people as we can one bottle at a time.
We are located in Southern California in the middle of nowhere, but we will soon put this place on the map.
That’s my story, never really shared it with a stranger before….feels good!

    Best Regards,
    Maxemillion

Big drug companies can’t patent it so its called quack medicine.

But, Colloidal silver kills flu, colds, fungus, … its absolutely amazing stuff. Now they add it to antibiotics to kill antibiotic resistant MRSA in India. And, guess what, its not the antibiotic that’s killing the MRSA, its the colloidal silver.

My favorite colloidal silver is from Advanced Silver company, but any ionic colloidal silver will do.

In laboratory testing the concentration of silver that has been found to work best is between 10 ppm and 50 ppm, depending on the size of the nanoparticles of silver of course (I talk more about the size below).
Before I talk about the size I want to address one problem with colloidal silver:
One of the biggest problems with colloidal silver is that there are too many manufacturers making all kinds of nano silver but most of them including Nutrasilver, Sovereign Silver and ASAP, do not actually make colloidal silver just nano silver.
Let me explain here what colloidal silver is and what is not so everyone here can make an educated decision before buying any brand.
Colloidal silver is a colloid which consists of nanoparticles of silver between 5 nm and 100 nm in size. It has a color, between light yellow to intense red depending on the size and concentration of the silver nanoparticles. The nanoparticles of silver have a like-electric charge thus they remain suspended. Colloidal silver nanoparticles are ions regardless of their size (5 nm-100 nm), since a charged nanoparticle of any metal is a cation which is an ion with a positive charge.
What colloidal silver is not, is a clear colorless solution. It does not have the smallest nanoparticles possible or atoms. It is not a cure all either and it does not kill 650 organisms (that is silver but not colloidal silver).
Currently laboratories which manufacture colloidal silver the right way (look up Nanocomposix, Sigma Aldrich or Silver Living Tech among other few), do not experiment with the smallest nanoparticles of silver possible since they understand that the size of the nanomaterial affects the behavior of the material. The same is the case of nano silver. The smallest nanoparticles possible or silver atoms behave entirely different making them lethal even to human cells. It works but at the expense of causing silver toxicity when consumed over long periods of time or in large quantities (which 3600 ppm is too much of the toxic nanosilver).
Colloidal silver is hard to make, the make at home kits make nanoparticles which are too large that can cause Argyria (a discoloration of soft tissue caused by the accumulation of silver) The blue man is just one example of what can happen when its made at home and consumed in large quantities. Even in small quantities they do accumulate in the soft tissue and in the long run can cause Argyria as well. Argyria happens when the body cannot get rid of the nanoparticles of silver which are bigger than 100 nm.
If you do not agree with this then look up any research paper and see what nanoparticle size they use to research new cures. They do not use anything bigger than 100 nm or smaller than 5 nm because they understand that only within that window the nanoparticles are safer to use.
For everyone here looking for the right kind of colloidal silver, look for a light yellow colloidal silver with a concentration of about 15 ppm that shows the Super Tyndall Effect. If it does not then it is not true colloidal silver.
Another thing, one of the reasons why colloidal silver is not an OTC drug anymore is because when manufacturers of colloidal silver were called to backup their claims about it being a cure all, 650, etc. They could not come up with consistent data to proof the efficacy of their products, a reason being they were all manufacturing all sorts of nanoparticles of silver which in turn meant not having a well regulated product when it came to its manufacturing and characteristics. Of course the ruling stated that only properly manufactured colloidal silver (as it was before 1938) could be sold as such. Since none of these many manufacturers were making colloidal silver the right way none could apply for the grandfather ruling and opt to sell it as a mineral supplement (nothing wrong there except they do not make colloidal silver the right way).
If one reads the literature from before 1938 one finds many manufacturers too just as today, but the main product was the red colloidal silver at high ppm concentrations which is the hardest to make because it entitles very expensive equipment and very precise calculations.

So to anyone out there who is looking for colloidal silver manufactured the right way, look for the Super Tyndall Effect colloidal silver, any colloidal silver with those characteristic I have mentioned will be a good and safe colloidal silver.
